Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility. For your protection we will send any order via a trackable method. For products shipped internationally, please note that any manufacturer warranty may not be valid; product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be desighned in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements. You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from us (Prelude to a Spa), the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all the laws and regulations of the destination country.

Our goal is to have all orders shipped within 24 hours after receiving them except where noted. We'll notify you by e- mail or a phone call whenever we expect your order to be delayed. Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies (United States orders): We want your experience with Prelude to a Spa to be pleasant and we hope you will enjoy and come to love our products. If for any reason a product is not what you expected, you can return it to us within seven days in its original package for a full refund. The common carrier is responsible for safe delivery of your merchandise. All claims arising from damage during shipping must be filled with the common carrier. Please note that we cannot refund any shipping charges. At Prelude to a Spa we are always looking for and really enjoy trying wonderful new products! Bringing our latest ‘discoveries’ to our clients is a real delight! However, if you have particularly sensitive skin or are prone to allergic reactions, we strongly recommend that before trying a new product, you contact us. We will be happy to provide you with a list of ingredients and, if available, a trial size sample.
If you return a product to us, you will be the exporter from the destination country. Title and risk of loss transfer to us upon receipt at our Main Office (Blue Ridge, GA). Custom, Duties and Taxes (International orders) The recipient of an inernational shipment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Import Fees Deposit (International orders) Your order with Prelude to a Spa for shipment to countries outside of the United States may be subject to taxes, custom duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"). The recipient of the shipment is the importer of record in the destination country and is responsible for all Import Fees. You authorize Prelude to a Spa to designate a carrier (Designated Carrier) to act as your agent with the relevant customs and tax authorities in the destination country, to clear your merchandise, process and remit your actual Import Fees. Prelude to a Spa is not an agent and provides this as a value added service to customers.
placing your order, you agree to allow Prelude to a Spa to collect the Import Fees Deposit. This deposit will be used, on your behalf, to reimburse the designated carriers for the import fees that they have paid on your behalf to the appropriate authorities of the destination country. You further agree that the Carriers may disclose to Prelude to a Spa the amount of actual Import Fees levied ("Actual Import Fees"). In the event that the Import Fees Deposit exceeds the Actual Import Fees, Prelude to a Spa will refund the difference to you. In the case of gifts or other purchases made on behalf of another recipient, you make the foregoing authorizations on behalf of the recipient designated in your order. To obtain details regarding the Actual Import Fees, or to obtain documentation or receipts in connection with customs clearance, you may contact the carrier in you shipment confirmation email. These terms and conditions are in addition to the standard Conditions of Use of the Prelude to a Spa website. Pursuant to those terms, title and risk of loss for the items transfer to the recipient upon delivery to the common carrier in the United States. |
